Before generating a key, make sure you have set up your preferred Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) mechanism. Click here for more information about 2FA.
Step 1: My API
- Log into OKEx and under the profile icon in the top right corner, click API
- Click +Create V5 API Key
Step 2: Enter Your 2FA Code
- Enter a Label and give it a Passphrase
- Grant appropriate permissions
- Enter your Google Authenticator 2FA code
- Click Confirm
Step 3: View and Save Your Keys
- Click View next to the key you just created
- Enter the passphrase you gave it and a new Google 2FA code
- Make a note of the API key and Secret key
- Please make sure to save the passphrase and both keys as you will need them when you add the API key to Terminal
Step 4: Add Your OKEx API Keys to Terminal
- Log into Terminal and click on Accounts
- Click +Add Account
- Under Exchange
Select the exchange you are adding (OKEX) - Under Account Name
Enter a friendly name for this account here -
Enter the passphrase and the two keys generated from OKEx:
- The passphrase will go into the Passphrase field
- The API key will go into the Public Key field
- The Secret Key will go into the Private Key field
